The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is one good looking crossover that will be available as a hybrid in the United States later this year. For those lucky Germans, Volkswagen announced that the new 2011 Touareg is now available as a luxurious Volkswagen Exclusive model.

The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Exclusive gets a two-tone “Nappa” leather combination ( Pepper Beige”“Titan Black and Dark Burgundy”“Titan Black), electro-pneumatically adjustable backrest side bolsters and head restraints with longitudinal and height adjustment, leather door inserts, a black headliner, sill panel strips in stainless steel with exclusive lettering and 19-inch “Salamanca” alloy wheels, painted in Sterling Silver. 20-inch “Tarragona” wheels are available as an option.
Refresher: The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is available in the United States in three trim-levels including the base 3.6L V6 FSI, 3.0L V6 TDI and a 3.0L V6 TSI Hybrid. The 3.6L V6 FSI unit makes 280-hp and a maximum torque of 265 lb-ft with fuel-economy coming in at 16/23 mpg (city/highway). The 3.0L turbocharged V6 TDI clean diesel engine makes 255-hp and a peak torque of 406 lb-ft with fuel-economy coming in at 19/28 mpg. Power for the 2011 Volkswagen Hybrid comes from a V6 TSI unit making 333-hp. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 47-hp electric-motor (E-Motor), allowing for a total 380-hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. EPA estimated fuel-economy comes in at 25 mpg on the highway.

Luxurious: The New Touareg Exclusive
Exclusively equipped model leaves nothing to be desired
Wolfsburg, 12 October 2010 – The new Touareg is now also available as a luxurious Volkswagen Exclusive model. The vehicle boasts a range of features including seats in a high-quality two-tone leather combination, 19-inch wheel rims and decorative elements in real wood.
In the Touareg Exclusive, high-quality seats in the two-tone leather combination “Nappa” are fitted as standard. The finely worked leather is available in the colour combinations Pepper Beige”“Titan Black and Dark Burgundy”“Titan Black. As well as being aesthetically appealing, the two-tone leather offers a special practical feature: it is so-called “cool leather”, which prevents the seats from becoming too hot in direct sunlight.
The leather seat system includes heated front seats with electric 12-way settings, electro-pneumatically adjustable backrest side bolsters and head restraints with longitudinal and height adjustment. Likewise inclusive are the leather door inserts, a black headliner and sill panel strips in stainless steel with exclusive lettering. Decorative elements made from real wood in “Olive Silk Gloss” round off the exclusive ambience of the interior.
The 19-inch “Salamanca” alloy wheels, painted in Sterling Silver, are fitted as standard. The “Girona” wheel has the same dimensions and is available to order at no extra cost. A further option is the extravagant 20-inch “Tarragona” wheel, which gives the Touareg a particularly individual flair. The exterior is characterised by the “Chrome & Style” package and roof rails in anodised silver.
The Touareg Exclusive starts at € 58,150 (V6 TDI BlueMotion Technology) and is available to order with all engine variants, for example the hybrid.
